You! Thanks to Andrew Potsko for all the work he’s done in and around the parsonage. Thanks to him, the bathroom tub is sporting a new shower head, and the yard is pruned and ready for spring. He’s also working on some landscaping in front of the parsonage. Thanks to Marv Nelson for attending to the church’s electrical needs. In addition to the inside work, he also did the outdoor lights for the stained glass window. Thanks to your generous contributions at coffee hour, a $100 donation was made to Concordia Lutheran School to help the school auction. New

and That On Palm Sunday, April 9th, we will be collecting a special offering for World Hunger. Easter Brunch sign up sheets for fruit platters and pastries will be in the narthex. We will have the same menu as in past years. Please consider signing up! It is our policy to include something for everyone. Since some people like to find errors, we occasionally include a few in our publication to meet this need. Chapel on the AveJesus said to his disciples, "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. “It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. So watch yourselves. If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.” -Luke 17:1-3 Child pornography is devastating our nation. And, through the Internet, it has grown in astronomical proportions. “According to NCMEC [National Center for Missing and Exploited Children], the number of child pornography images on the Internet has increased by a whopping 1,500 percent during the past eight years” (www.heraldnews.com 2/20/06). As people are drawn into viewing these sites, they become desensitized to the images and videos. In order to maintain that sexual stimulation, they find videos and images that are more sexually explicit than before. Ernie Allen, CEO and President of NCMEC states, “We are shocked to learn that the consumer market for child pornography is growing and becoming much broader. Younger and younger children are being victimized, and the content is becoming more graphic and more violent" (www.heraldnews.com 2/20/06). What’s even more disturbing is that there is an association between viewing and acting out child molestation. Dateline NBC released their undercover story “To Catch a Predator III” that caught men entering into a home which they believed to be the residence of the teenager they communicated sexual fantasies with over the Internet. These men were school teachers, law enforcement officers, businessmen from different races, income tax brackets, ages and intellect. Though most child molestation offences are perpetrated by men, “17% of all women struggle with pornography addiction” and “Women, far more than men, are likely to act out their behaviors in real life, such as having multiple partners, casual sex, or affairs” (internet-filter-review.toptenreviews.com 3/16/06). This issue has crept into our community as well. Filter Review notes that 47% of Christians said that pornography is a major problem in the home. That means nearly half of us at Trinity and the Chapel are struggling with this . I offer a strong rebuke to us all: You know who you are. Stop now and seek help, before you hurt yourself or your family more than you already have. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to someone initially, consider checking out www.xxxchurch.com to begin walking away. We are not beyond God’s mercy and grace. Andrew

Note from Dave Meyer
We all have opportunities to grow and change, and, as Concordia solidifies it’s programs and opens new opportunities to the community, it is important to honor our 101-year history and for all of us to stand together and continue His work in this community for 100 more years, all of which is impossible for the individual but totally possible for Him.The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw His glory, the glory that He received as the Father’s only Son.John 1:14 Dave
